From our new editor

Hi! My name is Simba and I have recently joined the "Cats can Jump" team. I was born in Vienna in Austria on 5th September 2010 and came to live in Italy on 19th December, so just in time to get stuck into my mum's Christmas tree!
I am a Turkish Van cat, but unlike a lot of Turkish Vans, I don't have any markings on my head. That makes be very special. I've got a fabulous black and white tail! Also, unlike a lot of Vans, I don't actually like swimming. I don't mind getting wet feet, but that's about it!
I will soon be working with my big sister and colleague, Misi to produce a review of two toys that we play with. We hope to bring you other news, views and reports on a regular basis, so please visit us from time to time to see what's new!

Tragic news about our founder

We are devastated to announce the death of our founder and mascot, Bruno. Bruno was hit by a car and killed on 18th October 2010 while his mum was away in the UK. We have all been so sad, we have only now been able to make the announcement.
In the interim, we have been looking for a special and worthy successor, capable of carrying on the name of "Cats can Jump" in the way Bruno would have loved and intended. A very special cat indeed was needed for this role. Our search took us all over Italy, unsuccessfully, and then finally over the border to Austria where we were lucky enough to find a bright young Turkish Van called Simba.
Simba has been enjoying getting to grips with the Italian way of life and the demands of his new job. Luckily he has had Misi to guide him. So, it gives us the most enormous pleasure to introduce Simba formally to you, as the new "White cat who can jump".

About Me

I am a young, handsome, Turkish Van cross cat called Bruno. I'm actually Italian by birth, and was born in the village of San Pancrazio near Modena in Italy. I look after my mum's shop and blog called "Cats Can Jump". We decided on this bonkers name thanks to my colouring and habit of leaping about all over the place. Mum said there was a film called "White men can't jump", and she twisted it all around after watching me who is mostly white, jump! "Look, look, white cats can jump! Let's play white cats can jump!!!" She yells. We put our heads together and came up with a line of toys that all cats can jump for, whether white or otherwise. My mum's a bit of a natural diet for cats freak, so apart from the squad of cat-shaped toys, you can buy chicken leg and bone-shaped ones as well. Very healthy for a cat.
